The size of our membership and the power of our numbers give us the ability to access more affordable, quality medical plans than each of our practices may be able to access on their own.

EMBC has partnered with the KeyArx Group and Willow Risk Advisors as our strategic partner to deliver benefit solutions that take advantage of our collective size. Our partners will align EMBC Members with the best in class specialist to design, develop, implement and manage a range of integrated products and programs/services. Typically, they can provide solutions that can result in a 20-30% reduction in costs.

Gró HR provides EMBC Members a range of HR services to support your organization, including employee onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and more.

Valmont Research Report Results

EMBC has partnered with Valmont Research to issue two market research surveys to the EMBC membership.

  • Survey 1 was conducted in Q1 2023 and collected qualitative metrics to see what sets EMBC members apart from other EM physician groups and staffing options. 
  • Survey 2 was conducted in Q3 2023 and collected quantitative metrics of EMBC Members’ operational costs.

The goal of these surveys is to provide helpful information back to the EMBC groups to see how they compare to the other members and to use the qualitative information in a future PR campaign promoting the use of physician led, independent, democratic groups in the ED – specifically EMBC groups. 

Best Practice Sharing & Expert Connections

EMBC utilizes multiple avenues for best practice sharing among members. Practice groups of any size  benefit from the opportunity to network with other like-minded independent, physician owned groups from around the country. 

  • Monthly meetings and webinars open to EMBC Regular members allow time for roundtable discussions about the day's most relevant topics
  • The Vault - a repository of resources shared by EMBC members
  • Groups.io - an online forum for all EMBC members to communicate between meetings
  • EMBC offers subgroups for certain roles within the practice groups to gather for best practice sharing and education. Currently this includes the EMBC Quality Network and the EMBC COO Network.

Education

The EMBC Education Committee sources guest speakers on relevant topics impacting independent, democratic physician owned EM practice groups to speak to the EMBC membership every other month.

EMBC co-presents the Independent EM Group Masterclass with ACEP, to provide education on running a successful EM practice group for both new and seasoned group leaders. EMBC Regular Members receive discounts on registration.

 Marketing & PR for Member Groups

  • EMBC is currently working with a Marketing & PR firm to provide resources for EMBC members to use when pitching their group to hospital partners. Our research studies have proven that EMBC member groups exceed the national standards for ED care, and we are leveraging these results for the success of our members.
  • EMBC purchases booths throughout the EMRA Job & Fellowship Fair during the ACEP Scientific Assembly to promote opportunities within EMBC member groups.
